MacOS Catalina, aka macOS 10.15, is the newest version of the operating system that runs on the Mac. MacOS Catalina's name was inspired by Santa Catalina Island, popularly known as Catalina.
Acrobat compatibility with the new macOS 10.15 Catalina
Acrobat DC, Acrobat 2020, Acrobat 2017, and Acrobat 2015 are compatible with the new macOS 10.15 Catalina. Major changes in user experience and known issues are described in this document.

Mac Os X Catalina Requirements
- Catalina is the 15th release of what Apple used to call OS X, and like earlier versions, it builds on a solid and secure Unix-based foundation. Catalina runs smoothly and reliably and adds several.
- Visual Studo Code runs on MacOs Catalina. The link that you have referenced refers to platforms that VS Code has been tested on. It may take a while for Microsoft to update the platforms to include Catalina, but in general you will not experience problems when running VS Code on Catalina.
- PreSonus recommends that check that your third-party plug-ins are macOS Catalina compatible as many of them may not install or run correctly under 10.15, and will need updates themselves to work correctly. Some of the Studio Magic Plug-ins will not run under 10.15. PreSonus has also released several updates in support of Apple OS X 10.15 Catalina.
- Acrobat 2015: If you download Classic 2015 Acrobat or Reader patches from the release notes or the FTP site, you see a notarization prompt and the installation is blocked. It's general behavior for all installer packages downloaded using a browser and not from the Mac App Store. To begin the installation, right-click the installer and choose Open.
- A permission prompt appears on the upper-right corner. Click Allow to enable notifications.
- Recent: An OS permission prompt is shown if you open files from Recents, which were added in Recents before you upgraded to Catalina.

- Thumbnails of files in Recent and other areas: Thumbnails appear for those files for which Acrobat has read permission.
- Thumbnails of files in the landing pages of tools: The thumbnail is displayed only if Acrobat has read permission on the folder in which the file is located.
- Create PDF from Acrobat ribbon in Word and PowerPoint: An OS permission prompt is shown.

In the Screen Recording prompt, click Open System Preferences.
In the Security & Privacy dialog box, choose Adobe Acrobat for Screen Recording.
If you click Deny, you see an Acrobat prompt. Click OK to continue.
Os X Catalina System Requirements
- Tools > Combine: For Microsoft Office files, when you add or convert an Office file for the first time, an OS permission prompt is shown. This experience is similar to macOS 10.14 Mojave.
- Select files from Recent files list and Combine: For each selected file, an OS permission prompt is displayed.

If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, macOS Big Sur requires 35.5GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an earlier release, macOS Big Sur requires up to 44.5GB of available storage. To upgrade from OS X Mountain Lion, first upgrade to OS X El Capitan, then upgrade to macOS Big Sur.
Make a backup
Before installing any upgrade, it's a good idea to back up your Mac. Time Machine makes it simple, and other backup methods are also available. Learn how to back up your Mac.
Get connected
It takes time to download and install macOS, so make sure that you have a reliable Internet connection. If you're using a Mac notebook computer, plug it into AC power.
Download macOS Big Sur
If you're using macOS Mojave or later, get macOS Big Sur via Software Update: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Software Update.

Begin installation
After downloading, the installer opens automatically. Chrome 45 apk.
Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions. You might find it easiest to begin installation in the evening so that it can complete overnight, if needed.
If the installer asks for permission to install a helper tool, enter the administrator name and password that you use to log in to your Mac, then click Add Helper.
Allow installation to complete
Please allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid. Your Mac might restart, show a progress bar, or show a blank screen several times as it installs both macOS and related updates to your Mac firmware.
Stay up to date
After installing macOS Big Sur, you will be notified when updates to macOS Big Sur are available. You can also use Software Update to check for updates: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Software Update.
Or get macOS Big Sur automatically
If you're using OS X El Capitan v10.11.5 or later and your App Store preferences or Software Update preferences are set to download new updates when available, macOS Big Sur will download conveniently in the background, making it even easier to upgrade. A notification will inform you when macOS Big Sur is ready to be installed. Click Install to get started, or dismiss the notification to install later. When you're ready to install, just open the file named Install macOS Big Sur from your Applications folder.

- If the installer shows a list of apps that are not optimized for your Mac, learn about 32-bit app compatibility, then choose whether to proceed with the installation.
- For the strongest security and latest features, upgrade to macOS Big Sur. If you have hardware or software that isn't compatible with Big Sur, you might be able to install an earlier macOS.
- You can also use macOS Recovery to reinstall the macOS you're using now, upgrade to the latest compatible macOS, or install the macOS that came with your Mac.
